I gotta remind this new SpongeBob stan that these fanarts are a product of its time, these were made in 2012-2013. I think some have not even aged well because the newer episodes (season 9-13 era) are getting better according to fans.

Original tweet has been circulating and found itself in my feed so I just had to speak up for this. I had a lot of heart making that art when I was younger (I was also 18 at the time of drawing that fanart) and I feel mine, among these fanarts, are misunderstood as saying "new" SpongeBob is horrible. It was... around the season when these were drawn (seasons 5-7 era), so I bet it's accurate during that period.

I hear SpongeBob is getting better now, for its time today, and I don't think these fanarts mean we're not over the old SpongeBob yet. I get it, newer fans would probably not see it that way.

I like hearing the news that the ol' Sponge is doing fine as a show these days, it's great! I just haven't had the time to sit down and binge the newer seasons yet.

I'm only bringing this up because whoever posted this was kinda bitter that he had to credit the artists.

Maybe next time just credit them from the start so people don't bombard you to credit the artists. Common courtesy perhaps?

As for life update, I'm currently pursuing taking webcomics full time, even if it's a huge leap of faith, so I'm actually out of a job right now and continuing to make new comics. However, I do still have backlog with another project I have on YouTube. I'm finishing these one step at a time since it's not so easy by myself.

I'll be super busy for commissions so I do apologize for not responding to people asking. But stay tuned for more updates (and my current state of mind lol)
